Olivia and I have been taking a yoga class since she was just a few months old. It's been a lot of fun. In class, she often appears more interested in socializing, or running around... but here she is with her friend Kaden on a playdate doing yoga with him!

I Love You

Ah, those three little words. Olivia has repeated them from time to time, but inconsistently. Tonight, a little while before bed, Noel, Olivia and I were playing in the living room. She spontaneously said "I Love You" to me!! As you can imagine, I got teary... she made my week! After all of our celebration, Noel said it to her, and she responded to him as well. What a great Monday night!

We had a great Christmas this year. Grammy is healthy. Olivia had a BLAST opening her gifts... although I think one of her favorite parts of Christmas was running up and down the halls at Grandma's condo with Dada and Uncle Nick! Here are a few pictures.

So, I went into the bathroom for, what, 2 minutes? This is what I came out to find. Yup, she moved the chair herself. Have I mentioned we're in trouble??

Snow bunny

So, today I took Olivia out to play in the first real snow of the year. She was bundled head to toe (reminded me of the kid in The Christmas Story), and wasn't sure how to walk in all that clothing and with the boots. Initially, she would take a step or two and gracefully, almost in slow motion, fall to the ground, then roll around trying to stand up! She got the hang of it though, and also discovered eating the snow. She also got a good laugh at me clearing off the car, and wanted to help. Here are some pics. Enjoy!

The little thrill seeker!

Olivia has REALLY begun to climb this week. She's also figured out that she can move things (chairs, her ride on toy, buckets, whatever) to help her climb or reach things she couldn't previously reach. I've saved her from diving off of the sofa onto her head twice this week. The fun continues. :) One other new thing... people in my family will really appreciate this... I was walking down the stairs with her, in front of her, holding both hands and letting her walk. She figured out how to go down on her butt!

As the bottle turns...

Ok, so the most dramatic thing here is the title. Olivia is continuing to prosper and grow and learn. It's absolutely amazing at how quickly she picks up on things, which explains why she can repeat the word "crap". We're trying to teach her well, but when she starts falling from the top of the cat house and we try to catch her while spouting expletives (even relatively tame ones like "crap"), she picks these things up pretty easily. During her bath tonight I was holding on to her while we waited for the tub to fill and she started to grab at the shower rod. Figuring on a cute moment, I let her grab the rod and I mimicked her doing a pull-up on it. She followed that up with 3 of her own, the brute. :-) Speaking of cute moments, one of my favorites happens when we all come downstairs in the morning and our cats plead their case for food, Olivia responds in kind by meowing back at them. When they get pushy, she gets over dramatic about the meowing. It's hilarious. We've got some more pictures and video, but I'm not on the right computer to post anything at the moment.
